About the artwork
The Arches sculpture series is inspired by the sun's path as seen from the earth. The ancients perceived in the sun a great celestial being that moved across the sky; "Helios driving a chariot from East to West." This interaction between sun and earth creates both geometry and movement which is explored in the three arches, Life, Light and Love. "I feel that if I were to walk towards the Life arch, the convex would slow me down and concave would gently guide me in and out of the negative space." — Flavius Pisapia. Each positive and negative space represents a different aspect of the spiritual sun. In Life, it is angular; in Light it is oval; in Love, round.
Commission this work
The commissions are carried out using the latest 3D technology in collaboration with the best bronze and stone studios in Italy and the USA. Collectors can choose from a variety of bronze patinas and types of stone. Sizes range between 60cm / 24" and 335cm / 132". For commission inquiries, email flavius.pisapia@gmail.com
