About the artwork
In the Zodiac Relief Series, biomorphic shapes and volumes fuse into emerging micro worlds. The head is a recurring feature, placed at different angles; its horn-like motif inspired by Michelangelo's Moses, points to the nature of “human knowing” in percept and concept. The reliefs are a visual narrative of creation, a personal search for the story that is hidden in nature itself. The wall-mounted sculptures are an echo of the interrelation of living forms and the unseen intelligence moving through them.
