About the artwork
The Musical sculpture series is an exploration in matter of sound waves moving through space. The curvilinear form with its transitions and twists echoes the musical elements of phrasing and rhythm. Tracing the movement can lead to a simple musical composition. The Italian terms are musical directions and indicate the type of music that I imagine would arise from each form.
