About the artwork
The Reclining Forms sculpture series is an imagining in undulating planes the energetic shape of the human being in repose, instead of its anatomy. In a similar way, the ancient Greek sculptor worked out of a sense of his own body rather than copying a model. The leaflike forms bring the human being in connection with nature; the mirror finish reflects images like a lake or pond. The many transitions between planes show a state of constant change, a visual style that connects to the artist's experience of life and relationships. The sculptures are not fixed to the base and can be handheld and interacted with. The mirror finish will change in time through touch, allowing the artwork to continue its expression in "changing relationship". Through time and wear, the patina brings out the form behind the mirror.
Commission this work
The commissions are carried out using the latest 3D technology in collaboration with the best bronze and stone studios in Italy and the USA.
